The Coongie Lakes is a 21,790-square-kilometre freshwater wetland system located in the Far North region of South Australia. Coongie Lakes / Malkumba National Park lies approx 105 kms north west of Innamincka in the Innamincka Regional Reserve.
The track out to the lakes passes through different landscapes but is well worth the effort. There are lots of species of birds the frequent the lakes. The are no motorised vehicles allowed on the water and no drones to be flown.
