Captain Billy's Landing
Captain Billy's Landing in the Jardine River National Park, it was named after an aboriginal from the 1800’s who called himself Captain Billy. The barge landing was built in the 60's to allows cows to be loaded onto a barge. Being on the east coast of the cape cool SE trade winds in the dry season'
Ussher Point
The track to Ussher Point is 63km 4WD only, medium difficulty with a few large washouts to navigate around, it has a mix of surfaces including sand, rock and a few muddy spots. On the track in are Magnetic termite mounds, during the dry the SE trade winds are are cool. There is rubbish on the beach washed down from Indonesia.
