Fitzroy_Crossing
Fitzroy crossing is a town in the Kimberley on the banks of the Fitzroy river, the river can be up to 10metres and was impassable until the new bridge was built in 1974.
18 km north east of Fitzroy Crossing is Geikie Gorge National Park, Geikie Gorge is part of an ancient barrier reef which developed during the Devonian Period about 350 million years ago.
West of Fitzroy crossing is Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge.
